Twitter is getting ready for a legal fight! They’re upset with Meta, which is owned by Elon Musk, because they believe Meta’s new app called Threads is a copy of Twitter. Twitter’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, wrote a letter to Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, accusing the company of hiring former Twitter employees who know all of Twitter’s secrets.

Spiro thinks Meta used that information to quickly create their app, which is not fair and against the law. Twitter is serious about protecting their secrets and wants Meta to stop using them immediately. They’re even considering taking legal action if Meta doesn’t cooperate.

Meta, on the other hand, denies these allegations. They say that none of the people working on Threads used to work at Twitter. Meta is the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, and Threads is their new social media platform. It launched recently and already has over 30 million users from all around the world, including famous people and big brands.

After Threads launched, people started wondering if it could become more popular than Twitter. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, cautiously said that he believes there should be a social media app with over a billion users, and he hopes Threads can be that app.

Elon Musk, the owner of Meta, also responded to the lawsuit. He said competition is okay, but cheating is not allowed. It looks like this legal battle is just beginning, and we’ll have to wait and see what happens next!
